Last updated: 11 August 2026

In short: YouPay Wallet is a technology platform that connects you to operators, billers and licensed payment partners. We are not a bank, and we do not provide the underlying telecom, utility or banking services ourselves. Information on this website is provided for general reference and may change without notice.

1. General disclaimer

The information contained on youpaywallet.com and within the YouPay Wallet applications (the "Service"), operated by YouPay Wallet, is provided in good faith and for general information purposes only.

We make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability or completeness of any information on the Service. Under no circumstances shall we have any liability to you for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the Service or reliance on any information provided on it. Your use of the Service and your reliance on any information is solely at your own risk.

2. Nature of the platform

YouPay Wallet is a technology platform that enables users to pay for services offered by third parties. Specifically:

  • We are not a bank, non-banking financial company, or deposit-taking institution. Your Wallet balance is a prepaid balance held for making payments on the platform — it is not a deposit and it does not earn interest.
  • We do not provide telecom, DTH, electricity, water, gas, broadband or toll services. Those are delivered by the respective Operators and Billers.
  • Movement of funds is carried out through licensed Payment Partners — banks, payment aggregators and payment gateways — under their own regulatory approvals.

3. No professional advice

Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and nothing on it should be treated as a recommendation to enter into any transaction. Before acting on any information found here, you should consult an appropriately qualified professional. We are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of information published on the Service.

4. Third-party services

When you make a payment through YouPay Wallet, we transmit your instruction to the relevant Operator, Biller or Payment Partner. We do not control:

  • whether an Operator activates a plan, and how quickly;
  • the tariff, plan validity, talktime or benefits associated with a recharge;
  • the accuracy of a bill fetched from a Biller's system;
  • settlement timelines applied by a beneficiary bank; or
  • outages, maintenance windows or downtime at a third party.

Any dispute concerning the underlying service must be pursued with the provider of that service. We will supply the transaction evidence you need and assist where we reasonably can, as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Trademarks & logos

All operator names, biller names, brand names, trademarks, service marks and logos referenced on the Service are the property of their respective owners. They are used solely to identify the services that can be paid for through the platform.

Their appearance does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship, partnership or affiliation between those owners and YouPay Wallet, unless we have expressly stated otherwise.

6. Availability & accuracy

We aim to keep the Service available and its content current, but:

  • the Service may be unavailable during maintenance, upgrades or events beyond our control;
  • service categories, operator coverage, fees and features may change, be suspended or be withdrawn at any time without prior notice; and
  • content on this website may contain typographical errors or become out of date, and we reserve the right to correct it at any time without notice.

Screenshots, mock-ups and illustrations shown on this website are for demonstration only. Names, amounts and transaction data shown in them are fictitious and are not those of any real user.

7. External links

The Service may contain links to websites or applications operated by third parties. Those links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, accuracy or availability of external sites and accept no responsibility for them. Following an external link is at your own risk, and we recommend reading the terms and privacy policy of any site you visit.

8. Offers, cashback & illustrations

Promotional offers, cashback, reward points and referral benefits are:

  • subject to their own terms, eligibility criteria and validity periods, displayed with the offer;
  • discretionary, and may be modified, restricted or withdrawn at any time;
  • void where they are abused, including through multiple accounts, automated means or collusion; and
  • without cash value, and not withdrawable, unless we expressly state otherwise.

Statistics and performance figures shown on this website (such as typical processing times or success rates) are indicative averages based on our internal observations. They are not guarantees, and actual results vary with the Operator, Biller, bank and network conditions.

9. Security & fraud warning

We will never ask for your PIN, OTP, CVV or password No employee, agent or representative of YouPay Wallet will ever ask you for your transaction PIN, a one-time password, your card CVV, or your internet-banking password — by phone, email, SMS, chat or any other channel. Anyone who does is attempting to defraud you.

Please also be aware that:

  • we do not ask users to install remote-access or screen-sharing applications;
  • we do not ask you to make a "test transaction" to receive a refund or a prize; and
  • our only official domains are youpaywallet.com and app.youpaywallet.com. Treat any other site or app claiming to be YouPay Wallet as fraudulent.

If you believe you have been targeted, contact us immediately at support@youpaywallet.com and report the matter to your bank and to the national cybercrime helpline.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YouPay Wallet, its directors, officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive loss arising from:

  • your use of, or inability to use, the Service;
  • any act or omission of an Operator, Biller, bank or Payment Partner;
  • unauthorised access to your account resulting from your disclosure of credentials;
  • transactions carried out using details entered incorrectly by you; or
  • interruptions caused by network failure, force majeure or events beyond our reasonable control.

This disclaimer operates alongside, and does not replace, the limitation of liability set out in our Terms & Conditions.
